My name is Camille (or Cam)! Opening a bookstore has always been a dream of mine. I feel passionate about creating community and encouraging greater accessibility to education, art, and reading. I wanted to create a space that uplifts queer people and encourages everyone to read works that highlight diverse perspectives and points of view.

I learned to appreciate nature from my family growing up. My mom has always been an avid birder. Birds encourage us to appreciate the little things in life, and they remind us how beautiful nature can be when we take care of it.

Some quick facts about me:

• I was born and raised in Rochester, NY, and went to school at SUNY Geneseo, studying History & Political Science with a minor in Spanish.

• My favorite genre is literary fiction, with a preference for dark & emotional stories. My favorite book at the moment is Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin.

• I have a weird cat named Pepper.

• In my free time, I enjoy making collages, going to concerts, running, playing Stardew Valley, and spending time with friends & family & my girlfriend.

• I’m excited to curate a space that celebrates both our world and the people in it :)
